Whitepaper Digital educational resources

A 'Spotify' for textbooks

During their meeting on 6th November 2019, the Strategy team expressed its ambition to contribute to the development of a model for digital learning materials comparable to Spotify.

The complexity surrounding digital educational resources is high. A lot of work has been done in recent years to map out existing processes. Additionally, the Strategy issued an investigation into the use of educational resources to find out which interventions could be done to break through current patterns and processes. In light of the difficulties and complications encountered, and the differing views on whether or not the market for digital educational resources will function, the Strategy team has decided to take more time to map the situation.

This whitepaper provides an outline of the current state of affairs, the initiatives already underway, and the existing opportunities. From this overview, the Strategy team decided on the necessary next steps in the process.
