New team leader Education data zone

Zone-Studiedata

Meet Bram Enning

As of 1 February, Bram Enning, policy advisor Institutional Research at Leiden University of Applied Sciences, is the new team leader of the Secure and reliable use of education data zone. With this Bram succeeds Theo Bakker of the VU Amsterdam. Bram already was a member of the team behind the Learning Analytics zone, and is now taking on his new role as their team leader.

Bram studied Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. His doctoral research, which he did at Maastricht University, was about the ‘efficacy of LSD therapy’. After this Bram quickly became active in education. Bram has been working at the Hogeschool Leiden since 2016, where he builds bridges between data and policy as an institutional researcher. With his extensive experience in education and learning analytics, over the next two years, Bram will lead the process of putting the products of the zone into further practice.

Theo Bakker has become director of Education, Knowledge and Communication at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Theo has been very dedicated to the Learning Analytics zone and its success for the past two years. Under his leadership, the Statistical Manual of Learning Analytics has become available (Dutch only), and the website doe-meer-met-studiedata.nl(Dutch) has been launched. We wish Theo all the best and would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his commitment to Learning Analytics and the zone. We also wish Bram and the team the best of luck for the next two years!
